England Saxons booked a place in this year's Churchill Cup Final with a 32-9 victory over the USA at Infinity Park in Colorado.
Wasps wing Tom Varndell ran in two tries for the second time in as many games as England's second string scored a comfortable victory in Denver. Varndell followed up his double against Russia last time out with Anthony Allen and Duncan Bell also going over for the Saxons.
Alex Goode (two) and Stephen Myler were successful with three conversion attempts with the former also landing two penalties. The United States' points all came from Volney Rouse penalties.
In next Saturday's final, Stuart Lancaster's side will face Canada who scored a stunning 33-27 upset win against France 'A' in the day's second game.
Brian Erichsen crossed for the key try in the 70th minute at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colorado, before the Canadians survived late French pressure to seal the win and top Pool A. Aaron Carpenter and Matt Evans also touched down for Canada, for whom Ander Monro kicked 12 points. Lionel Beauxis kicked 17 points for the French, whose tries came from Thibault Lacroix and Yohan Audrin.
"I didn't really know how much room I had, but when I made those first few steps it felt like I was floating on a cloud," try-scorer Erichsen said. "It feels amazing to beat a quality side like France, we knew it was going to take a lot from us and we had to be ruthless. We had 15 guys working to the bone and in the end we pulled it out."
